I can't find any fed funds historical data. I know that discount cuts without fed funds cuts have been ineffective, but I can't find any fed funds data prior to the 1950s. There could be something lying around in my sea of paper here (yes, some of us still use paper), but I can't put my hands on it.

Good chart, though. Yes, you're right about systemic problems; the odds of that happening are not high, though (talking strict statistical probability, not economic fundamentals). Doesn't mean it's not possible here, I just don't know at what point you'd make the call.
