Blow Hard Dan - Re: "The computer below has a TFT (active matrix) LCD, a motherboard, a 10 gig (good sized for a notebook) hard drive, 128 meg ram, CD, floppy, carrying case, and lithium battery. It retails for $1,449. "

Do you have any evidence that the CPU used in this Notebook PC is a standard desktop CPU or a Mobile 1 GHz Pentium III CPU ?

Since there is NO MENTION of Speed Step technology, only a BLOW HARD would conclude that is a mobile Pentium III CPU.

You concluded it was a mobile Pentium III CPU.

True to form, Monica !

Funny - AMD is the flunko company that released a desktop DooWrong as a mobile CPU - and you were positively ecstatic about that foobar !

True to form, Monica !

Sometimes there is a big difference between list prices and what the seller receives. The computer below has a TFT (active matrix) LCD, a motherboard, a 10 gig (good sized for a notebook) hard drive, 128 meg ram, CD, floppy, carrying case, and lithium battery. It retails for $1,449. There is no way Intel is getting anywhere near $700 for the CPU. They aren't getting anywhere near $300 for the CPU.

Rediculous Dan. As I have already shown here: Message 15525426 , a 13.3 Screen (HA!),10GB HD (HA!), 128MB RAM (HA!), Ordinary 24X CD ROM (DVD Optional) are all substandard components compared to the "Tier 1" Vendors.

You pay a cheap price, you get cheap perephrials, It's an age old way for boxmakers to cut costs. Nothing to do with a cheap processor.

Your inclusion (snicker) of a (snicker) Lithium Battery (snort snort) and a "Carrying Case (teee heeee) as one of the "features" (gufaw gufaw) shows clearly your desperation.

HAW HAW HAW HAW HAW HAW HAW HAW

Sound Like "Sour Grapes" to me Dan......
