Siebel also mentioned that they're not at all afraid to turn away customers to ensure managable growth. Good news for investors if he's actually doing this. He didn't come out and say that he is, though. He did mention, however, that he manages for the benefit of customers and employees, not investors--which strikes me as the appropriate attitude for most companies.

Both Siebel and i2 management have addressed the issue of not taking on more growth or customers than they can handle and serve because of the increasing risk of not being able to serve and provide maintenance for that scenario. It does mean lost customers, but it also means longevity of the customer base that is taken on. Hence, we have competitive forces in the market place that do pick up the customers not taken on by a Siebel or an i2.
