AMD 760 supports PowerNow!?

so no need for ALi or Via's chipset in mobile?

"The innovative power management and energy conservation features of AMD PC processors, the AMD-760 chipset and AMD Flash memory devices enable our customers to build energy-efficient products," said Dr. Hector Ruiz, AMD president and chief operating officer

EDIT: while everybody is assuming it's the chipset that is missing to OEM, it could well be the DDR SDRAM mobile modules...

andreas, I hope ZDNet Deutschland is trying to get a hold of one of these Gigglebooks to test its battery life when running benchmarks at 1.7V/1GHz. And the "2 watts in battery saver mode" is BS, only true if the laptop spends 90% of its time in sleep mode. I'd be surprised if it lasted 80 minutes at 1 GHz when playing a DVD.

Of course, maybe they should wait until there's an AMD laptop to compare it with.
