Right on! I want some answers too. Why is it that Greenspan can dictate things that affect millions of Americans? One man shouldn't have that much power. Hell, maybe we need to write a program that makes rate decisions based on more up to date data than Greenspan gets and then eliminate his job. I think the time is ripe to start marginalizing the good ole' boys network that has raped this country since the beginning. Isn't that what the Internet and the information economy are supposed to do for us? Foment the information revolution and make government jobs obsolete. That's what I'd like to see.

Someone in Silicon Valley just committed suicide because of the falling stock market. Greenspan probably thinks the general public doesn't understand the economic theory and is not worth his time to explain.
