And he sure knew what he was talking about with the bush effect on the market. Anyone who has remained long would give their eye teeth for 3500.

I wonder how many people he ruined before they found out he was only joking ? Everyone knows his posts were for entertainment value.

Best regards,

Tom

"Go tell it on the mountain." Huh?

Like the other permabulls, Tom appears very lost. Something tells me there is no way to get them to learn a new bag of tricks at this point. Their thread is a shadow of its former self and I expect that it will all but disappear this year.

Some, like KG4 and clapton are asking good questions that bode well for their survival.

Since September 1 we have had a rare trend, a nearly "once in a lifetime" trend that is the bookend of the rare trend we had going the other way. For those with a little conviction, it has been fairly easy to make money on the short side. Persistent down is disheartening to a bull, but failed rallies are a killer. I expect lots of range trading and many more failed rallies of varying size in the years to come. It will be a more difficult market to trade for clowns of both stripes.

A b&h type has to be wondering here. Unless such an investor got in on decent prices in 1998 (i.e., not the top of the range that year) then on balance, their NASDAQ longs are underwater. That's already two years or so, not extreme at all by bear market standards.

Cheers.
