jmootx: The markets have , using their own logic , sold off after todays rate cut. As I explained earlier , a 1% rate cut and a ten percent increase in stock prices is known to generate 0.7% growth in GDP with half attributed to the wealth effect of stock Investors and half due to the rate cut.

It is a paradox that while the market wants A.G to do his part, the same Market wants to negate it thru a sell off.
It is the market who is behaving like a spoilt child. The market's +ve response and interest rate cuts must go hand in hand to have the maximum effect on the GDP.

I hope the markets realize that they are damaging the economy more than A.G by their irrational behaviour.
