Just saw it on television: a Janus commercial on NBC's "Dateline" program. Janus was bragging about how they looked beneath the numbers to uncover an oil drilling stock (unnamed) with a more consistent revenue stream. Never would have seen this in the 90's. Or Y2K.

So it begins. The beginning of the end. Energy Stocks = profitable investment is beginning to sink into the subconcious of the average consumer. Lets say Joe Middle Manager gets a $10K bonus and wants to invest. But wants to be a little more aggressive than an index fund. Is he gonna buy tech? No way - he does not want to tell the wife how he lost 80% of his bonus in 3 weeks. Or is it gonna be energy? Let's see, W is in office! California's got shortages! Oh yeah, energy is gonna be the place to be for another 4 years at least.

Very informative post. Emailed it to several associates who buy wholesale components.

Hi Gottfried! Do you think tomorrow's book to billing semi report will be positive or negative?

Today's chips are having a good day. I'm of the opinion the individual investor is being set up for tomorrow and I'm considering shorting some chips later today.

Do you or anyone else have any thoughts or ideas on this strategy?
