Heinz, I'm sure this has been discussed before, but with the Bank of England selling hundreds of tons of gold, and with the IMF holding 100+M oz and a history of selling to prop up corrupt regimes, worthless paper currency, etc, why should gold be a good investment? Seems they could keep the price depressed for years. I don't mean gold stocks, I mean gold.

hb, any links to money supply growth? someone said it was growing at 4% in 12/99. i recall double digits ahead of y2k.
