If California is destroyed it will be because of you and your fellow travelers. There will be a nice evolutionary move of your best businesses to the rest of the country if you don't clean up your act.

Dear Patricia, yuk yuk yuk..... you say... >>>The truth" would never make sense to someone who chooses to listen to political rhetoric that is designed to obscure the facts

I just want to know when the last time, the last decade when a democrat politician told the truth. When was the last time a democrat politician knew any facts? The above are not rhetorical questions.

California represents 1/5 to 1/6 of the WORLDS economy. If the economy here in Ca is destroyed, every other state in this country will have a negative economic impact. It would be in the best interests of every American for this problem to be resolved.

TOTALLY IRRELEVANT TO THE PROBLEM!

Not even close. I'd love to know how you made that one up.

Next stop you'll be saying that California represents 6 times the WORLDS economy - and you'll be about as accurate.

The "truth" is Gov. Davis dropped the ball over a year ago when warned of the growing problem (he said he had it under control). The "truth" is the de-regulation process in CA was not similar to ones that had worked in PA (allowing long-term contracts). The "truth" is Davis is withholding details of power contracts and will be sued by both the government and others to release this information. Davis claims it will jeopardize the State's ability to negotiate contracts. Penn. does not agree and makes their deals public "immediately".

Pardon my language but Davis is presiding over a "clusterfuck" and failing miserably so far to instill any confidence that he is making it better. The secrecy exacerbates my concern and the promise to solve the crisis without raising rates is a more and more remote possibility every day.

Even the long-term contracts don't appear to be sufficient to guarantee against black-outs this summer.
