<Based on what>

Most people have forgotten that the stock market trades on Earnings, Earnings and Revenue Growth projections moving forward. There is no upward earnings visibility moving forward. If you have been reading as many 10Q's as I have lately, you would be hearing that there is not going to be an economic turnaround in the second half of this year or early in 2002. No one can see further out than that yet in tech land outside of the usual hope and faith.

The NAZ can easily trade below 1000 once it becomes apparent that earnings will continue to deteriorate in 2002. My guess is that NAZ 500 is a distinctive possibility, perhaps even 200, if corporate profits continue to deteriorate. Strong Bear rallies will come and go along the way.

Earnings, Earnings, Earnings Moving Forward! That is what these markets are all about after you cut all the Baloney and Hype.
