I finally understand. You are in denial. Our natural gas is 2-3x higher because of distribution? Our gas prices are higher because of gas taxes? "the only explanation is government" Good lord, man, is that the only alternative you are willing to consider? In fact, AFTER taxes, we regularly pay .$10-.30+ more per gallon than neighboring states. Maybe that also is a distribution problem? I guess I do finally understand. I see you are a lawyer from your profile. In fact, I fully understand now.
