Hi Tom, I'll have to see how badly the others are doing in the contest.

What contest? I thought the "Strewie Award" had already been decided.<ggg>

For those of you who don't watch The Nightly Business Report on Public Broadcasting, I think you will enjoy reading what Gene Farrell had to say last night. Here's the entire transcript:
nightlybusiness.org

"FARRELL: Well, I think an individual investor managing
their own money ought to say,
"I'm going to manage it like a pro does."
And what a pro will do is not try to guess the bottom or
top. What a pro will do is say,
"Wait, there is value here that I want to own."
Three tech stocks we've been buying, for example, are ADC
Telecom (ADCT), which is a $10 stock, Sanmina (SANM), which
is a $20 stock, and Tellabs (TLAB), which is a $40 stock.
So what I do is I take a percent of each, it doesn't matter
the number of shares, and then I'll buy another half
percent and another half percent as times goes on. And I
think individuals would take, would not give themselves
quite the aggravation if they traveled that way."

Best regards, Tom
