Buschman:

You are beginning to sound like a desperado. If you are so bullish, share with us here some of the stocks that you think will rise here. I think you are big on personal insults because you lack substance.

I watch for a few key signals that offer high probabilities of catching the best portion of bull markets while avoiding the devastation of the worst phases of major bear markets.
Only geniuses and/or fibbers buy right at the lows and hold all the way up. Mere mortals like myself try to catch the big moves. And to have a fighting chance, I must be resigned to giving up a fair number of points at the beginning in order to detect the kind of bullish environment that makes buying safe.

One of the indicators I use is a 10 day A/D 2 to 1 ratio.

I never fight the primary trend, Buschman, unless I see compelling value. That would require a PE of 7-8, good cash flow and stable earnings moving forward, along with strong insider buying. Such opportunities are available throughout the course of the trading year if you screen properly. Last March, for example, NFS, fell into my value criterion and proceeded to more than double.

A little more substance and less personal insults, which BTW, only reveals your own personal frustrations, would seem be in order here. Otherwise I will have to relegate you to the faceless cyber punk category.

Sincerely,

Rarebird
