it's not QC.
otherwise it would crash here too, and it doesn't and never did.
a few ideas so you can find the culprit:

if you're using Win2000: right-click on MyComputer -> Manage -> Performance Logs & Alerts -> Alerts.
check everything that's in there and what each single alert says.

restart your computer as usual, and before opening any program, right-click on taskbar -> TaskManager -> Processes, and tell us which processes are running, apps in the background, etc.

which programs do you normally use simultaneously with QCHarts during the trading day? Outlook? Cybertrader? CyberX? ICQ (aggh!)? Internet Explorer? etc etc

which programs do you, god forbid, let run at startup? RealPlayer StartCenter? AntiVirus programs? Norton? McAfee? ICQ? MSN Messenger? how many, if any, program icons do you see on the right side of your taskbar beside the time/date? those things eat lots of ram, and you said you only had 128 mbs.
either add more ram, or remove those apps/utilities.
Windows2000 + QCharts + Explorer and your computer is already to the max of its capabilities with only 128 mbs.

are you using QFeedStart? if so, check on "Clear TEMP" files.

of course, keep all your software, drivers and operating system up to date, www.windowsupdate.com, etc etc.

how many different versions of QC do you have installed? 4.0, 4.1, QCBeta? transfer your workspaces/layouts/symbols and then remove the old directories.

check hard disk for errors and defragment periodically.

if you're using Win98 or WindowsME, install Windows2000 Pro ASAP.

etc etc etc
