I think I personally could easily find ways to use and enjoy 10 times the bandwidth and compute power I use now. I've just barely started listening to the (virtual) "radio" via the Internet and some (virtual) "TV." Only a small fraction of my purchases are made online, but I can envision that expanding. If I'm the norm rather than the exception, then we've got a lot of growth ahead of us.

I don't know what fraction of telecommunications is IP based, but I bet it's growing.

My kids use the Internet quite a bit already, and their use is increasing. There are generations coming that will be much more Internet dependent than us old farts.

This is a long term growth industry. A paradigm shift. A Megatrend.

JMHO, of course.
