Let me clarify. I was referring to the Dow Jones Industrial Average as talked about by BB at the time not the S and P.

Ahh, ok. I don't understand people's fascination with the Dow, as if 30 stocks could represent the entire US market. But, that's life. "The market" and "the Dow" seem to be the same to most people. (I don't mean to imply that's true for you.)

Which leads me to believe that should the Dow manage to not eclipse Thu's low (unlikely, but you never know), then I guess people will start to say "the market" *still* hasn't had a bear market since 1990. Which is obviously ridiculous, but so it goes.
