Let me clarify. I was referring to the Dow Jones Industrial Average as talked about by BB at the time not the S and P.

Ahh, ok. I don't understand people's fascination with the Dow, as if 30 stocks could represent the entire US market. But, that's life. "The market" and "the Dow" seem to be the same to most people. (I don't mean to imply that's true for you.)


Ken, I can tell you did not listen to BB during the time of the 1987 crash so let me spell it out more clearly. If you go back to that period in time BB was stating that one of the reasons he went to 50:50 equities and cash during the period, more specifically after the crash, was because he was expecting a retest of the Dow lows. Thus, my reference to the Dow.
