When I went through a health nut period in the 80s I was reading books by various nutritionists and vitamin gurus, and one thing they all agreed on was that flouridation was bad. One said it depletes minerals from the body and prematurely ages bones. A lot of them were a little whacky, so I never knew how seriously to take it.
