No >256kB L2 cache in the server Palomino

Tbirds aren't supported by 760MP

That was the bad, now the good:

I like this part -

"Clawhammer/Sledgehammer

The Hammer family will be the first to incorporate all SSE-2 instructions. As a results, SSE-2 will be an industry standard just like MMX. The Hammer family will continue to support 3DNow! as well.

When I confronted Mark with rumors that the Hammer family is little more than an enhanced Athlon with 64 bit instructions, he told me that the Hammer family is a true 8th generation x86 CPU with a totally new architecture."

If it is a totally new core thre is a bit more risk but also the oportunity for a big performance increase. Beyond what the Athlon core will be able to reach in 2002.
