Bill: OK, I defer to your knowledge. I wouldn't do that ;) There are plenty on this thread who know far more than I. I believe that the 200ms is the time between switching states, not necessarily the time it takes to switch... Wrt to the voltage-jumps, the reason I don't consider that to be a significant problem is simple: If you take a look at the core voltage displayed in the BIOS, it does oscillate to some extent. And I have seen poor motherboards where it oscillated quite a bit - on the order of +-.025V or more - and the CPU ran just just fine.
