Hi, mrmark, thanks for your response. I want to FAX over my DSL line. I had the extra telephone line removed at the time the DSL was installed. I can see that was probably a mistake...now. Of course, I don't want to pay some company $9.95 a month just so I can send an occasional FAX; I'd rather buy a FAX machine and make it easy on myself. I'm just trying to see if I have anything already installed on my almost new H-P PC computer that I could make work. It doesn't look like it so far. BB
