Chaz, it is slander indeed, and QUALCOMM should notify not only Nokia but the Federal Trade Commission about false advertising. A deliberate falsity about a company product can lead to a nice lawsuit that could also include a claim for punitive damages. Nokia ought to be warned in no uncertain terms.

On the other hand, I believe QUALCOMM's recent white paper comparing the costs of various upgrades speaks volumes, and companies faced with steep capital investments for a poorly performing, expensive upgrade that lacks the features of CDMA2000 will think twice before caving in to Nokia's propaganda.

regarding Nokia's comments ---

They're good for a chuckle.

And a sign that they take Q's recent PR tack seriously.

They'd certainly better.

This type of statement, however, won't help......

And no doubt a resident bootlick will soon arrive to assure us of Nokia management's virginal qualities.
