My greatest fear regarding the Anwar is that as John stated in the post prior to yours is that there is really no economical oil there and we take our eye off the ball so to speak.

As we all know it will take time to attempt to try and recover what some think is under the ground in the Anwar. Time may be something we do not have. Remember "the high balls are on the giraffe".

When one starts to look over the depletion rates in Texas for example:http://www.rrc.state.tx.us/divisions/og/information-data/stats/ogismcon.html
One starts to get a funny feeling that we are closer to a serious problem then any of us understands.

Should the decision be made to exploit the Anwar I would hope that we could also let the public know the realities of the drilling process.

High energy costs will promote the discovery of new and inventive alternatives. Low energy costs will not allow these ideas to go forward.

That in the end is my greatest fear, for my seven year old son for example.

No KEG right now she bit my a couple times. Once bitten twice shy.
