Casaubon, Can you explain the positive reaction to the consumer confidence number? I'm on the short side of the market and had been hoping for stronger numbers which, in theory, would reduce the probability of an interm cut & thus dissapointment & lower stock prices. I am surprised by the market reaction. Do you have any thoughts on it? Steve D.

Lower interest rates also favor the bulls. Stocks compete with bonds and the present value of future cash flows is dependent upon rates.

Biotechs move on news not earnings. Biotechs do well during the big AACR conference going on now. Biotechs are valued based upon the quality of the science, cash on hand, and the burn rate of that cash.

I got IMNX after the blow up for a trade.

good luck

the only bull case I can make is all the money sitting in money market accounts>>>>

most of that money is not federally insured and is invested in instruments that are not without risk.

when long term markets are at a bottom, people shun risk and only want to have their money in federally insured deposits,

we are coming off the other end of the spectrum.
