I just checked my charts on the SPX at the end of OCT and I dont see 3-WHITE SOLDIERs. There were 3 WHITE days in OCT but there was a gap between the 2nd and 3rd day which makes it an imperfect formation/invalid formation.

The current possible 3-SOLDIERs, is also an imperfect formation as mentioned previously, but its less imperfect than the one in OCT.

A general rule, I was taught in candlestics was that gaps between the bodies after a significant move, commonly preceeds a reversal, not necessarily immediately, which occured with that OCT pattern you mentioned.

The basic rule of thumb for the 3-CROWs and 3-SOLDIERS is that there should be no gaps between the bodies, not even a slight one.
