Qualcomm Up 5.2% on Korean Comments

Qualcomm (QCOM:Nasdaq - news) was up 5.2% in
midmorning after ABN Amro reportedly said
Korea's new information minister favors
Qualcomm's CDMA technology, which most Korean
mobile phone makers rely on.

Also, The Wall Street Journal reported that China
Unicom plans to spend $2.4 billion to build out its
CDMA network by 2002. China Unicom officials
earlier said they would spend $1.8 billion.

It's obvious the economy is not in that bad shape, and we could very well have a consumer led recovery.

Yep, all it takes is free money. The FED is trying hard with repos and interest rate reductions.

But there is only so much to buy, houses and cars but that don't help CSCO any. If housing stalls this spring, and I think it will... look out below.
