Earlie from Earlie:

Somebody knows something about CIEN. Perchance a little after-closing mia culpa? Love it when the dumpsters are tipped up and over. (g)

Best, Earlie

Ild...I think there will be a fair amount of selling to pay taxes, due to the asymmetry of tax laws (ie, you can only write losses against gains plus 3000). Also the Alternative Minimum Tax will claim a fair number of ESOP participants who exercised options early but did not sell, hoping for a rebound later in the year.

As the losses have in all likelihood already been realized, I think it will be "winners" (relatively speaking) that get sold to cover the tab....but that's pure speculation on my part.
