I'm perplexed with what to tell people who are getting killed in the market. If you tell them to short a particular stock, it's a no-win situation:

1. If they don't take your advice and it goes up (temporarily), they laugh scornfully at you,
2. If they don't take your advice and it goes down, they consider you to be the cause and label you an evil short seller,
3. If they DO short the stock and it goes up temporarily, you are to blame for their loss,
4. If they DO short the stock and it goes down, they consider you lucky, they will add and overallocate at the low, wait for a bounce to cover, lose twice their orginal investment and hate you forever.
