OT About food and Mouth, Europeans and Mad cow. The Europeans have more meat than thye can consume. Under the Common Agriculture Policy, they have to purchase what the farmers produce. Since they can't eat everyhting theu produce they store it. It costs about 10 billion to keep the stuff deep Fozen. So every year end they have to egt rid of what si in there to make room for the new stuff come in. I think this year they cook this mad cow and food and mouth desease so that they get rid of the meat alive rather than slaughter and deep freeze. The farm lobby here would make the angora goats' lobby in the US looks like child's play. Suppose you have your electoral base in Bavaria and 11% of them live off agriculture, would you be tough enough to cut the subsidies? I don't think so. The German CDU party don't either.
