Beat Earnings (doubled $.01 with $.02).

According to the definition used for your "beat earnings" even Amazon.com approaches profitability. Bottom line, PALM lost money last quarter and is probably going to lose money next quarter. But you're a believer, so, I wish you the best of luck.

Is Carl supposed to make a Sqawkbox appearance this morning?

Palm is selling more and more of the LOW END end models, and FEWER HIGH END ones. I would STAY AWAY FROM PALM at this time....

Crystal ball: <<PALM is SUPER BUYING FRENZY as bounces back. >> I'm amazed at your tenacity to cheer lead this thread....bravo! But rev's is what drives high growth rate stocks with high PE's, imho! Also projected earnings are key! So, the market senses dead money for a qtr or more and the stock tanks! This is the reality of it. Unfortunately, I didn't expect to see such a dismal outlook for next qtr as Y indicated. Further, curtailing expansion plans tells me recovery will be slow...especially trying to sell in the corporate climate!

However, if economy does recover more quickly than expected, PALM may be caught short those vital components to satisfy demand! Thus, other PDA 's and smart phone players may do well! OTOH, if only an "inventory correction" as Y says, then PALM needs to react quickly if demand picks up! Key is whether PALM can cut costs and still react quickly to economic recovery!!!

Unfortunately, the street is showing no mercy.
