While I'm a die-hard Republican, I disagree with the new laws. Although I agree that people should be held accountable for their own stupid mistakes, the sheeple got an awful lot of help here from irresponsible banksters sending everyone, their dog and their 2 year olds credit card solicitations. Now that times are tough, they're asking Uncle Sugar to be their collection agency, and it stinks. In addition, the timing couldn't be worse (I agree that after it takes affect, borrowing will plummet as will liquidity). I think this law will be looked back at as the equivalent of the Smoot-Hawley Tariff act during the depression, in that it will lengthen and deepen the downturn significantly.
