Missed Lieberman, but I am not surprised. I think that it is one Democratic strategy to put out feelers on different positions through prominent officials,and see what the reaction is. Also, it helps obscure what the Democrats actually thought and did.......

The Dems have had several dozen alternatives to Bush's plan.

The Dem schemes share one component - they want to defeat meaningful tax rate cuts by any means to preserve all available revenue for more government spending.

Have you noticed how Dems say that projections ten years out are too fragile to permit tax rate cuts but they don't extend the same test to their huge spending schemes?

I thought I had died seeing a Democrat actually FOR a tax cut.
If you had been sober during the election (hows that for hyperbole), you would have noticed that both major candidates called for tax cuts of various kinds.
