re: IT demand is falling and desktops are doing better then mobile and servers. How can this be good news for Intel when AMD dominates desktop retail and Intel does not have a competitive desktop CPU?

Do you know of any IT departments that buy desktop machines at retail? Or even at wholesale down at Costco?

AMD has 17% of the PC processor market and virtually none of the business market. Intel holds virtually all of the IT aka business market for desktops PC's, except for an Apple machine here and there.
