Nortel Networks' (NT) recent profit warning can't be good for optical component supplier JDS Uniphase (JDSU), which counts Nortel as one of its largest customers, say Williams Capital Group analysts Shayna Malnak and Rashad Barajakly. They cut their 12-month price target on JDS to $30 from $58 and lowered 2001 and 2002 EPS estimates to 64 cents from 66 cents and 73 cents, respectively. They say a concurrence of cautious statements by equipment makers indicates lower telecommunications spending will impact the majority of 2001. (JDB)

JDSU 17 1/4. Anyone trade options here?
