Exactly, the problem was people were fooled the first time he was elected, and then a really weak candidate was put up against him the second time.

Along with being tone deaf, he couldn't get his initiatives passed because he and Hillary couldn't be trusted. Remember "the secret task forces"? Her acrimonious testimony on the hill? I could go on and on. HillaryCare was one of the most dangerous initiatives to come along in some time. And they wanted to just shove it down our throat in one fell swoop. Maa'n I am glad we dodged that socialistic nightmare.

Here we are, nearly a decade later and the sky hasn't fallen as Hillary predicted. Yes, we still have problems to face as a nation, but they're not insurmountable if we can learn from the lessons of government controlled solutions around the world. Balancing all the forces will be difficult, but every day more innovative attempts are tried.

I'll tell you one thing which a lot of people don't fully realize. One of our best friends is a doctor, and she works very hard in one of these "Doctor Clinic's" as a general practice physician. Talk about super mom, try being a Doctor with three toddlers to take care of in this day and age! It ain't easy by a long shot.

I'm glad my wife, who's a stay at home mom, can help them out.

Michael

It just occurred to me while walking the pooch, that the anti-first amendment movement is identical with purpose and effect as the anti-second amendment movement.

The anti-2ers don't want to eliminate guns from society, just the guns in the hands of citizens.
The anti-1ers don't want to eliminate money from politics, just the money given by private citizens.

If you remove from citizens the right to use their own money to affect the outcome of elections, politician will still be free to use tax $ to effect the outcome of elections by buying votes with pork.

If McCain wins, not only will we fail to remove corrupt people from politics, we will insure the MOST corrupt people of all - politicians who use sacred tax $ to buy votes - are enshrined forever in office.

If McCain wins, overnight we will cease living in the United States of America and begin a new life as Europeans.
