Doug: I'm not entirely sure, I saw a small snippet of it in the newspaper, and I just glanced at the website:

sprintbroadband.com;

I haven't had a chance to really look it over, but it sounds like a localized ("point to point") wireless technology using laserlike transmitters (likely in the RF region). Sounds interesting... I'll take a look at it later today if I get the time.
