It was too cool to swim but I did some wading. There was a tidal flat behind the "cabin" (26'x50') with a 50' screened deck and cathedral ceilings.

The tidal flat extended out about 150 yards and then I waded out about another 600 to 700 yards to knee deep water. It was neat finding conch eggs, horseshoe crabs, tons of shells and live conchs plus getting within 6' of a stingray.

The weather cooled when we got there and the fishing was a zilch proposition. I would have done some swimming on Sunday but we didn't know where the beach access was ( it was across the road ) and after that it dropped to 40 in the mornings and 60 for the highs.

Sue put several pieces of driftwood in the Jeep and they were full of sand fleas. I was wearing shots driving home and my legs are chewed raw.

You posted a parody of the serenity prayer awhile back. Do you remember where you got that?
