ST Trading

Mitch, FWIW, I have nothing but gut-feel to guide me on a day like this, but I feel like we five may regret today's plays in the short-term. I'm still holding an LRCX short play from yesterday that I'm going to let ride through tonight's close. I feel a warning coming on... maybe Lam, maybe a tech leader. Once again, this is simply gut-feel and I have absolutely nothing to support my thinking.

ST - trading

Ben A's next max-pain point is currently 50, with 47.5 in very close second. I usually figure that predicts "somewhere between," or 48.5 as a loose target for an APR close ... assuming no earthmoving events. Accordingly, my interpretation of the target range is (48.5-2.5)<close<(48.5+5), or 44 to 53.5.

Since we're slightly outside that on the low end, I'm looking at choices for grabbing APR calls.

<edit> While I typed, my order executed for ANQDI's (APR 01 calls @ 45) @ 2.75.
Quick math estimates 100% profit exclusive of time premium if we move back over 50.

Counting on the courage of my convictions ...

- Mitch

that's FIVE self-selecting, unscientific, non-representative <g> threaders who have moved today ... all in the same direction

Don't make too much of my move. I covered my short only because I'll be on the road all next week and will not have time to check the market. Also thought I'd try AD's more conservative approach rather than hold out for the 20% gain I had originally been looking for.
