She remembers the old storm patterns that use to roll through Vermont. Snow drifts would be piled up to the porch roofs and drifted up against the barns. Snow plows would leave banks big enough to dig out small house caves.

Her father remembers how the small back country farms would often be isolated for a couple of weeks before they could get the horses through pulling the plows. But times are easier now with all the 4 wheel Suburbans.
