The problem is ensuring universal access to health care. The public good is at odds with the good of insurers since they naturally wish not to insure the sick. "Between the cracks" remedies will not address the problem.

The 250 million dollar campaign defended the interests of the insurance companies by telling the public that they would lose control under Clintoncare, when it fact they already had little control and would have gained control under the proposed plan. So excuse me if I have little sympathy for an ad campaign that was essentially a lie...
