Joe,

Apparently you believe that all of the European leaders are idiots.

There is only one moron in charge of a world power that I am aware of.

Scumbria

Joe.. you seem like a smart guy when you talk about AMD and tech stuff... but when you discuss politics.. how you manage to misquote and misconstrue things amazes me

Gee, the guy still needs to refer to the Quick Reference of the phone before he can put someone on hold, and you already credit him with the "destruction of the world environment"? Can you tell me which action of Bush, which executive order, which law signed caused this to happen?

Ok.. if you wanna be technical.. the impending destrution of the world environment... by trying to kill the Kyoto agreement... the worlds largest polluter and richest nation wont go to bat for saving the environment.. all in the name of making a few extra dollars for the big corporations out there.. "Big Business" Bush shows he stands for money and greed.. without any interest at all what the consequences down the road will be.

what Bush is proposing would actually help Canadian lumber to export to the US, and there was a reference to cancellation of proposed (or actual) duty at some 40%

??? With all due respect Joe.. I dont know what the heck you're referring to.. there is nothing in that article that says Bush is proposing anything to "help" Canadian exports of lumber to the US... quote me the part of the article where you got this idea from... theres something in the editorial I posted that says US lumber companies want a duty of 40%.. but nothing about Bush proposing anything to cancel that. Former President Carter mentions something... about how we should change our system to be like theirs.. a notion the author and most Canadians would absolutely reject.. and theres mention by a former Ontario premier to appoint an eminent persons commision to study the problem.

The other article details how American housing and consumer groups are siding with Canada in asking that duties be rejected,,...nothing on "Dubya" tho...
