Scott,

how you manage to misquote and misconstrue things amazes me

Ok, this is what you said: He now has a legacy of creating the most anti-US sentiment ever by a US president.. as well as global warming and destruction of the world environment.

Ok.. if you wanna be technical.. the impending destrution of the world environment

Sorry about forgetting to read your mind.

With all due respect Joe.. I dont know what the heck you're referring to.. there is nothing in that article that says Bush is proposing anything to "help" Canadian exports of lumber to the US

The article said that the duty is about to expire. If it is not being automatically renewed, doesn't it help Canadian exporters, who no longer have to pay the duty?

Joe

Ok.. if you wanna be technical.. the impending destrution of the world environment... by trying to kill the Kyoto agreement... the worlds largest polluter and richest nation wont go to bat for saving the environment.. all in the name of making a few extra dollars for the big corporations out there.. "Big Business" Bush shows he stands for money and greed.. without any interest at all what the consequences down the road will be.

CO2 isn't a pollutant its the third of fourth biggest part of our atmosphere. So the statement about "the world's largest polluter" isn't directly relevant. The reason to oppose the Kyoto treaty isn't to make a few extra dollars for big corporations but to save trillions of dollars in costs. Bush isn't even saying "don't do anything about global warming", he's just not agreeing with the particular plans of this treaty.
