"CO2 isn't a pollutant its the third of fourth biggest part of our atmosphere."

So if a gas is naturally in our atmosphere, it isn't a pollutant? By that measure, there are very few pollutants. Ozone, various nitrogen oxides and sulfur compounds make up measurable percentages in the atmosphere through non-human processes.

Pollutant is a sort of a value judgement. I consider gangster rap music to be an atmospheric "pollutant".

CO2 isn't a pollutant its the third of fourth biggest part of our atmosphere. So the statement about "the world's largest polluter" isn't directly relevant. The reason to oppose the Kyoto treaty isn't to make a few extra dollars for big corporations but to save trillions of dollars in costs. Bush isn't even saying "don't do anything about global warming", he's just not agreeing with the particular plans of this treaty.

Tim,

The statement is correct....we are the largest polluter in the world.
