I anticipated a revenue shortfall due to lack of promoting and a very weak selection in electronics. Management will blame it on the slowing economy.

In the past I've suggested that Amazon should raise prices significantly. Other have pointed out, quite correctly I might add, that sells would go down dramatically if such a move was taken.

But it just occurred to me that this is not such a bad thing. You see Amazon is selling items at a loss, so having smaller sales would actually reduce losses.

Certainly the last time I browsed through Amazon titles I was surprised to see how many of them were being sold at almost no discount...
