Hi Chicken Boy! I haven't been to the porch lately but as usual you continue to make sense while everyone else has lost theirs. Keep on Truckin'

I had a great day installing 2x6 heavy gauge metal studs in my soon to be renovated rental property. I successfully stiffened a 150+ yr old sagging floor.

Can anyone tell me why these metal studs aren't more popular? They are lighter, straighter, and stronger than any wooden product. I'm never going back. Sparks anyone?
