I will respectfully disagree with you on that. i have never seen Mr. L. on tape, but I would bet that the Q & A sessions come from taped sessions with audiences. In any event Mr. L, certainly, at the time of writing the book exercised his editorial right to decide what would be in the book, as well as what would not be.Remember that in such a situation as a Q&A session, answers aren't usually researched, but are given as general guidelines and opinion.
I think he very deliberately stated that AIM was totally unemotional and uncaring about all the different states of mind and other conditions that he listed. An important part of that statement was that AIM would do its thing in its own good time.
Your suggestion to go back to the original cost basis would probably work just as AIM would probably work, but it possibly might require more cash than Duke or any other starting AIMer might have available.
With that said I move that we table this discussion until we meet in Vegas.
