VOD already owns 45% of VZ and is said to almost definitely be about to make a move for VZ Wireless, the huge profitable division VZ wants to IPO when market conditions improve. VOD will reportedly pay a nice premium for VZ Wireless if they get it. VZ is a great safe stock to own now at 10-11 PE and no warnings, reiterating guidance recently and promising not to disappoint. The rare oversold growth/defensive stock all in one. With a dividend too.
