Well only a couple of hundred years ago men possessed the history of little more than the last three thousand years. What happened before that time was a matter of legend and speculation... Some saavy clergymen with inventive minds and tape measure believed and taught that the world had been created suddenly in 4004 B.C. at 9 am in the morning .... and throughout most of the civilized world, it was believed then . The only thing authorities differed on , was whether this had occurred in the spring or autumn of that year. <G> These incredibly "precise" misconceptions were brought to you by those "learned " fellows , that had "their " God on their side , and copies of their Hebrew Old Testament .
