There will be no moderation during the next two years. The right wing has two years to jam their agenda down our throats, and they will do it relentlessly until they get tossed in 2002.

If the republicans had a real stranglehold they could push through conservative ideas, but the balance is too close and many republicans aren't even very conservative.

Tim,

So far the Reps. seem to be in lock step with each other on most issues except maybe when it comes to campaign reform.

Once gain, they have nearly uncontested control of the federal gov't should they decide to act cohesively.
